There are so many different types of outdoor lighting fixtures now that even professional lighting designers can sometimes have a difficult time choosing luminaires. As all feature improved lamp life and operating efficiency, it often a challenge to find the exact model that will deliver maximum benefit to commercial lighting clients. Not only do new fixture designs feature improved engineering, but rapid advances in new lamp designs now bring even more options for 
consideration to the table.Making these hard choices can be better accomplished by approaching procurement from an application perspective. This means more, however, than simply identifying a particular application, such as area lighting, by name alone. Industry types vary widely, and with each variation, applications also vary. Area lighting around a warehouse, for instance, is nowhere nearly the same as area lighting around a public school. While this may, at face value, appear to be a restatement of the obvious, it is actually the key to determining the most outdoor lighting fixtures for any facility under development.
