A vertical conveyor is a material lifting conveyor that operates vertically. It features a very basic design, which carriage, a support column, and a hydraulic or electric lifting mechanism. This device is used to receive, lift, lower, and deliver objects, vehicles, and materials between various elevations in a multistory facility. VRCs, as they are sometimes also called, cannot be used to transport passengers. Anything else, however, can be lifted with these highly versatile material handling tools.
