Pavers made from porous concrete will allow rainwater to filter directly into the ground. Crushed stone foundations under the hardscapes will act as a secondary filter that slows the water’s momentum to such a degree that bacteria living in the soil will have time to catch and break down any toxins traveling in the water.
Permeable paver designs are one of the best examples of how man and nature can work together in harmony to build environments that are equally friendly to humans, wildlife, pets, and plants.
