There are many different ways to light a fountain. These include up lighting the entire fountain housing and water stream, down lighting it from an angle with a fixture mounted on a wall or a tree, or lighting it from within. The best lighting effects, however, are generated by underwater LEDs or optical cables. Due to the manner in which water moves in a fountain, you may want to consider a fiber optic fountain as the best means of combining water and light as a major motif in your Houston landscaping plan.While LEDs are now equal to other forms of outdoor lighting fixtures in light output and quality, they tend to generate bright, static displays of light. This can create very nice fountain lighting effects, to be sure. However, nothing has the capability of generating truly dazzling and mind-blowing special effects like a fiber optic fountain.
