As LED lighting continues to emerge, our staff is routinely asked the question, “Does the energy savings these new lamps offer truly justify the higher purchase price? This is a legitimate question which deserves an intelligent answer.The first thing to realize about LEDs is that they do far more than save on electricity. While it is a documented fact that many of these lamps use only 10 percent as much power as incandescent equivalents, we must keep in mind that this represents only one level of savings.
